Commonwealth Attorney-General Phillip Ruddock has announced this morning three new Federal Magistrates - all barristers. The Queensland Bar will be pleased.
The appointments are:
- Toni Lucev, a barrister in Western Australia since 1999, mainly in the areas of industrial relations and employment law. He will be the first Perth-based Federal Magistrate.
- John Morcombe, a barrister in South Australia since 1995, in the areas of family law, de facto property, and commercial litigation.
- Keith Wilson SC, a barrister in Queensland since 1986 who was appointed a Senior Counsel in 2002. His practice has been in general civil litigation across a wide range of matters, including insurance law, trade practices law, professional negligence, contract law, tort law and civil procedure.
