Joi Ito named new chairman of Creative Commons

At the Second Life party celebrating the 4th birthday of Creative Commons, held on the virtual island of Kula earlier today (Australian time), Lawrence Lessig announced that he will stepping down as chairman of Creative Commons and that Joi Ito will be the new chairman.  Eric Rice has the story here (including some pics from Second Life).
